Our Fourth Anniversary
As we celebrate, the fourth anniversary of jamesfox.biz, it is time to reflect on the events of the last year and look forward to the future.
James has been working hard, starting with a website meet-up where he kindly performed for members in September 2006 before returning to North America to continue in the role as Piano Man in Movin Out. The highly successful National tour of the show which played to packed houses at every venue completed its run in Birmingham, Alabama in January this year. James continued to receive richly deserved standing ovations for his amazing performances as observed by members in both Washington D.C. and Birmingham.
Yet more success was achieved when during this time, James briefly returned home for several important occasions. For a second time, he was invited to perform in the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in November 2006 where he performed the song, Anthem with Katherine Jenkins in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen. His powerful performance was breath-taking, every word he sang charged with emotion giving true meaning to the song. In Abide with Me his electric guitar playing added a modern dimension to the traditional hymn. We were all so proud of him. The next day, he took part in a variety show at the Prince Edward Theatre in London in front of HRH The Duke Of Kent, which was organised to raise funds for several charities.
James has also been involved in other important events, most notably when he supported Will Young in November 2006 and again, when supporting Tina Turner at a charity function in the National History Museum in May 2007. Supporting Clare Teal, also in May, was at an event that members could attend; James duet with her was an unforgettable highlight of a fantastic evening of entertainment.
Always keen to help, as well as a Charity Dinner in Cardiff in March, which saw James and his band on terrific form, he also joined in with Celebrity Soccer Events during the year.
Despite all this activity, James has continued with his song writing which has developed from his wealth of experience over the years and the good news came at the start of 2007 that he would be busy writing and recording for his forthcoming album. We were all delighted. He has already composed a considerable number of songs of incredible diversity of style with emotionally intelligent and astutely observed lyrics coupled with wonderful music that enhances the sentiments behind the words. James writes from the heart and that has come over in everything he has composed. It has been a privilege for all of us that we have been able to hear them as each one has been completed through recordings and recently through live performances at the Regal Room with its first class sound system. At the moment, we are looking forward to hearing new ones as he has devoted his energies exclusively to writing and recording over the last few months.
As in the past, James has continued to show his support for the website, by posting messages, giving items for prizes for various competitions and performing at exclusive events for members. Such kind and generous support is never taken for granted, but is always appreciated.
So now it is time to say Happy Anniversary and long may jamesfox.biz prosper. Being members has brought all of us warm friendships and many happy memories, but most of all it has given us the opportunity to help support a highly talented artist as he furthers his career.
Thank you, James for all your remarkable performances and beautiful songs and thank you so much for your kindness and generosity towards all of us at jamesfox.biz. We wish you every success along with health and happiness and offer our continued loyal support.
